BIOGRAPHY

The Band was born in the 1997 from an idea of Frank Andiver, Italian producer and drummer of many bands (ex-Labyrinth, Shadows of Steel, Anger,Oracle Sun) and of the bassist Andrea "Tower" Torricini (already with Frank in the Shadows of Steel and bassist in Vision Divine). The idea of the two musicians was to find a new road for the Italian metal, a new sound very melodic  but with innovative characteristics in the arrangements and lyrics. It comes enlisted in the project Alexx Hall, a singer with a pop background so much far from the metal standard but for this not incompatible. Indeed, the result has an incredible force and personality. The band just born begins to write speed-power songs, with many melodic taste and original electronic and pop-trance arrangements. All the songs of the Wonderland have a thread conductor, they tell the story of a killer in prison for its crimes that follows his idea of freedom with the fantasy and the memories: the Wonderland. Road making has joined to the project the guitarist Vic Mazzoni (already in the Shadows of Steel and leader of the band Projecto). In 1998 it comes produced an EP: "Somewhere in My Eyes", and in the same period the band begins the recordings of the debut album at  the Zenith Rec.Studios. The album then has mastered at the prestigious Finvox Studios in Finland. The album is released in april of 2002 with the name of "Wonderland" under Underground Symphony. The band in this moment (2004) is ending the final mix of the new album "Follow Me", that is preannounced like an evolution of theirs sound, with songs that goes from the speed-trance-pop to the gothic-ambient. In the meantime the 25th of July 2003 the band released for the label RISINGWORKS (and also in south America for the Theartrecords label) a new EP called "Eternally", with 4 tracks (a cover of the Sword extracted from "The Land of the Brave" tribute next to be released, two tracks from the next album and a new previously unreleased song). In summer it has be also made a promotional video for the song "Eternally" with the prestigious director Paul Doppieri. It’s a very professional high quality video and it has been played by all italian music television since its release. Moreover the covers of every cd of Wonderland are original paintings of the famous italian painter Giampaolo Bianchi in exclusive right for the band.
