Nearly 7 years have gone by since October 1998, when the original STR8 formed from the ashes of some of the most famous local metal bands at the time, such as Hellrage, Nex and Meandri, during summer of 2000, after one year and half of hard playing, the band records their first demo CD titled "STR8", the original sound began to be trained…
Now of the original set up only Emiliano D’alessio, Filippo Bendinelli and Raffaello Terreni still remain and after several Line-up changes due to the progressive maturing and awareness of the musical direction being followed, Alessandro Briganti and Luca Lembo (ex-Neurotomy) joined the band.
In 2002 the group spirit consolidated and the following year the first fully self produced demo CD titled "Memories", containing five of the most representative songs was produced. The response from the public in the live appearances when presenting the promo CD was excellent; "Memories" allowed the band to take part in radio interviews and to receive positive feedback in the most popular music webzines.
Considering this positive trend the band decided to go to the studio and record their first debut album. The band relied on the experience of Frank Andiver, musician, sound engineer and producer of many of the most important Italian metal bands; the result of this collaboration is "soul inside?", 13 tracks of intense and introspective sensations, a fusion of every metal shades with influences of many kind. "soul inside?" allow the band the possibility to sign a great deal with the Italian label Adverse Rising, part of the bigger Rising Works Records (Anger, Wonderland, Labyrinth, Ossian, Kink).
"soul inside?" will be distributed by SELF.

- STR8 start playing in a session room based in their home town Pisa
2000 -
After two years of hard sessions the band produces their first demo CD “STR8”, the band plays first live with a good public response.
2002 -
A radical change in original line-up happen, a new drummer and a new singer join the band to create new powerful sound.
2003 - A new demo CD comes, “Memories” allowed the band to take part in radio interviews and to receive positive feedback in the most popular music webzines. The response from the public in the live appearances when presenting the promo CD was excellent.
2004 -
